 USS Ronald Reagan Visits BusanUSS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76), a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered supercarrier, visited South Korea's port city of Busan on Oct. 16, 2016.
She brought with her seven other accompanying warships after she took part in the naval military drill "Invincible Spirit 2016" conducted jointly with South Korean navy on Oct. 13-15, 2016.
A total of 5,000 US soldiers onboard the ship will be involved in various exchanges activities with local people for five night and six-day. It will leave Busan port on Oct. 21, 2016.
She is named in honor of former President Ronald Reagan, US president from 1981 to 1989.
Upon her christening in 2001, she was the first ship to be named for a then-still living former president. The 1,092-foot supercarrier
was commissioned on 12 July 2003.
She is the only forward-based carrier strike group and is home-ported at Yokosuka, Japan, as part of the United States Seventh Fleet.
