Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation's Welcome Back Week
The Berliner Philharmoniker directed by Kirill Petrenko

The Berliner Philharmoniker would like to celebrate the resumption of concert life with their audience with a special week: before the season opens on Aug. 27, 2021, there will be additional events in the main auditorium of the Philharmonie, the Chamber Music Hall and at the Waldbühne.

Welcome Back week is supported by Deutsche Bank, the Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation's close partner of many years.

A total of 13 concerts give a foretaste of the wide-ranging program that the Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation will be staging in the Philharmonie in the 2021/22 season: From a jazz concert with the STEGREIF.orchester and chamber music with Tabea Zimmermann & Friends, a jazz-flavoured world music evening with Avi Avital and the Omer Klein Trio, a Fado concert with the singer Ana Moura and a performance by the Chamber Orchestra of Europe with Janine Jansen and the Philharmoniker's principal viola Amihai Grosz, there is something for every musical taste.

Tickets are particularly good value and cost between 16 and €45. Tickets for people under 29 are available for €8.

On Welcome Back Sunday, there is an afternoon of chamber music with ensembles of the Berliner Philharmoniker, including the 12 Cellists and the Brass Ensemble of the Berliner Philharmoniker plus an ensemble featuring Emmanuel Pahud.

All tickets for the chamber concerts on this day cost €10 each.

Tickets for the Welcome Back concert at the Waldbühne on Thursday, Aug. 26, featuring the first Waldbühne appearance of chief conductor Kirill Petrenko, go on sale on July 19, 2021.
