Flying Dragon Waterfall of Mt. BaekduThe majestic beauty of the Byrong Waterfall (Þ«×£øîøÖ) of Baekdu Mountain (ÛÜÔéߣ) in the border area between North Korean and China attracts numerous tourist from South Korea, since the highest mountain on the Korean Peninsula is the symbol and pride of Koreans. Byrong means Flying Dragon.
Chinese call the 68-meter-high waterfall Changbai Waterfall (长ÛÜøîøÖ: Everwhite Waterfall) and the mountain Changbai Shan (长ÛÜߣ: Everwhite Mountain).
Nearly half of the 2750-meter-high mountain belongs to China according to the border agreement signed between North Korea and China in 1962.
On top of the mountain is Cheonji (ô¸ò®: Heaven Lake),
The crater lake lies within a caldera atop the volcanic Baekdu Mountain, a part of the Baekdudaegan mountain range and the Changbai mountain range. It is located partly in Ryanggang Province, North Korea.
