Jung So-Ra to Head for 2011 Miss Universe
2010 Miss Korea Jung So-Ra showed her glamourous body on her homepage, saying she is ready to stand for Korea in the the 60th Miss Universe pageant slated for Sept. 12, 2011 in Brazil's Sao Paulo.

Jung, who stands 1.71 m (5 ft 7 1⁄2 in) tall, competed as one of 56 finalists in her country's national beauty pageant, Miss Korea, held on July 25, 2010 in Seoul, where she became the eventual winner of the title, gaining the right to represent Korea in Miss Universe 2011.

After the pageant, Jung donated all her prize money to the International Vaccine Institute, an organization that develops and distributes vaccines in developing countries. "I made this decision to keep my promise to serve society when I was crowned Miss Korea," she said.

Jung was appointed as the goodwill ambassador for South Korea's southernmost island of Jeju in a ceremony held in Seoul on Feb. 22, 2011.

Born on March 10, 1991, Jung is the winner of Miss Korea 2010 is supposed to represent South Korea in Miss Universe 2011.

Jung is the daughter of the chairman of the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and intends to become a diplomat. She graduated from Shanghai American School in the class of 2009.

She had previously planned to attend college in the United States, however is currently attending Korea University. She speaks three languages: Korean, Chinese, and English.

She grew up in Shanghai, China, graduating from Shanghai American School in the class of 2009.

She is the daughter of the chairman of the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, Jung Han-Young, who was a famous TV actor in South Korea.

She studied at the University of California, Riverside,
Calif. in America. She speaks three langauges fluently: Korean, Chinese, and English.

She failed to represent South Korea in Miss World 2010 due to unspecified reasons. She is schedulted to stand for the nation for Miss Universe 2011 pageant.

Jung revealed her intention to become a diplomat.
