"The Appliance & Electronics World Expo 2017" or "AWE 2017" is taking place in Shanghai from March 9 through March 11, 2017. This year the Asia's largest household appliances exposition is held under the theme of "Home for Next."

The annual exhibition is displaying more than 20,000 products from over 700 manufacturers from around the world at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in China's commercial capital.

Organized by China Household Electrical Appliances Association (CHEAA) the three-day event is getting the keen attention from both Chinese and foreign news media alike. Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to visit "AEW 2017" event.

This year the event is held under the five categories: large household appliances, consumer electronics, lifestyle appliances, environment and health, and supporting services on the combined 110,000 square-meter exhibition space of eight halls.

Also, "Technology Park," set up at the exhibition area of 6,000 square meters, is displaying contents in six main segments: intelligent entertainment, smart travel, artificial intelligence, intelligent living, sports and health, and global release.

The popularity of "AWE" in Shanghai is growing rapidly as China is emerging world's largest market. China has already become the world's largest market for household appliances and consumer electronics.

"AWE" in Shanghai is one of world's three major exhibitions of the global appliance & electronics industry along with "CES" in Las Vegas and "IFA" in Berlin.

At this year's exhibition over hundreds of top-of-the-line brands including Haier, Midea, Bosch, Siemens, Panasonic, and Hisense are on display during the three-day conference and exhibition period.

Well over 200,000 visitors are expected to join in this year's exhibition. From South Korea such electronics giants as Samsung and LG are joining in this year's exhibition.

On the strengths of Asian and other global markets, AWE is emerging as a pivotal appliance and electronics exhibition, according to its organizer and industry experts.
