Interior Minister Hong Attends Azerbaijan-Korea Cooperation Forum on Public Administration
On the sidelines of the forum, Minister Hong and the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov paid tribute to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honors, laid a wreath at the grave. Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade has met Minister Hong Yun-sik on August 18th. High level bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Korea was emphasized, boosting ties in various fields of economy was highlighted during the meeting. It was mentioned that reciprocal visits of officials created a fruitful opportunity for further developing bonds between the two countries.On August 18, 2016, Minister of Interior of the Republic of Korea, Hong Yun-Sik got acquainted with activities of Baku “ASAN service” center No. 3 and “ASAN radio”. The guest was given a comprehensive information about establishment of “ASAN Service” centers, their goals and action plan.On August 19, 2016, the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan held “Azerbaijan-Korea Forum on Cooperation in the field of Public Administration”. Chairman of the State Agency has briefed the guest about accomplishments of “ASAN Service” gained up to date. Minister of Interior has emphasized that today’s event has a significant role from the aspect of enhancing of bilateral relations and exchanging of attained experiences by both sides.In the framework of the Forum, “Memorandum of Understanding in the field of E-governance and public service delivery” between the State Agency and Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Korea was signed.On August 19th Minister Hong Yun-Sik paid a visit to Azerbaijan Carpet Museum. The guest was briefed about ancient Azerbaijani art of carpet-waiving, its history and traditions. Later on, MInister Hong Yun –Sik has met with Minsiter of High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramin Guluzade. The issues of expanding cooperation in ICT field, exchange of mutual experience in building e-government, future cooperation in the field of nuclear, satellite industry, and postal service were discussed during the meeting.Mentioning about the forthcoming BakuTel-2016 international telecommunications and information technologies exhibition and conference as a good platform in expanding cooperation in ICT sector existing between two countries, Ramin Guluzade invited the Korean side to take part in this exhibition.Korean Minister came forward with a proposal to conduct trainings for Azerbaijani specialists and expand mutual exchange of experience in order to achieve even better results in the field of ICT.Expressing gratitude to the Korean Government for the establishment and technical assistance of E-Government Training and Education Center for the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies, Ramin Guluzade expressed his confidence that the developing relations between the two countries will continue rapidly.
