New Near's Message from CEO
A Very Happy New Year 2015!
By Alan Timblick
President of The Seoul Times

Dear readers!

First, please know that you are, indeed, "dear" to us all at The Seoul Times. already days have passed in the new Year of the sheep and we hope the year has begun peacefully for all of you. And will carry you forward to realize your dreams and ambitions.

For the young, our hope is that you will launch successful careers. Having no job is a worry and a burden. This year we will try to help by communicating information about openings and internships! Good luck!

For the newly-weds, congratulations!. Do not lose the mutual respect and passion you felt at the start. Think about the continuity of your own lives and values through your children, and, for country and community, have lots of them!

For the advanced in years, you still have much to contribute! Dig deep into your memories for lessons to share. Teach, guide and help the young, and be patient with them.

For all, put aside petty jealousies, open your hearts and try to see the Good in others.

We hope to meet you daily in our on-line pages. By all means feel free to write to us with your ideas and opinions.

Happy New Year!,

Alan Timblick serves as President of The Seoul Times. He grew up in England, graduated from Oxford University, and has lived in Seoul for over three decades. A former banker, he also worked for the Korean government as head of Invest Korea and for Seoul City as head of the Seoul Global Center.
